What Is cPanel?
cPanel is a fully featured web-based control panel that allows you to manage your domain through a web interface. The idea is to transfer as much of the control and responsibility of managing your web site to you. Using cPanel and the Client Control Panel Safely and Securely
cPanel is a very powerful control interface for your websites and email services.
A CSRF (cross-site request forgery) attack can occur when an unauthorized command is propagated from a user's web browser to another target session without the user's knowledge. As such, we advise that the following precautions should be followed to minimise the risk of attack using CSRF.
- Do not remain logged into any web applications or interfaces while browsing untrusted sites. Always completely log out of browser sessions for sensitive sites when activities have been completed.
- Avoid opening SPAM, Websites, or clicking on links that you do not
trust especially URL shortening services found on many social media
sites.
- Update your current passwords within cPanel on a regular basis and
maintain strong password discipline.
